I have used this to catch a mouse that our pet cat had caught and brought into the house, which then escaped and hid. I left this mousetrap out overnight with some food inside it. The next morning, the mouse was caught, safe and well, and I released it back into the wild. Mr A A Mitchell2025-05-02Verified I used a bit of granola as bait. Worked amazingly well. My cats brought in a mouse to entertain me. After an hour on my hands and knees I ordered these and set them up the following day (thanks to Prime). Very easy to set up and the mouse was caught the nexxt day without harm and did not seem too distressed. lyndsey2025-04-30Verified Very easy to use and humane. This humane trap was very easy to use, and we caught Big Jerry on the first evening. In the morning I was pleasantly surprised for some reason, I guess I wondered if it would work. He looked perky enough and unharmed, I took him out to the garden and released him in onto a raised corner, hoping he wouldn’t run right back into my house. I replaced the trap to see if we can catch any of his wee pals. Quite exciting in a way, I wouldn’t have liked to have killed them in an old style trap, too cruel and gruesome. Lady Manga2025-03-24Verified Effective, but flimsy Three out of the 4 we bought are now broken in the same place: the inner hinge to one of the doors. They are very effective at actually catching and containing the mice. We've released a few that we've caught now and I'm happy with that aspect of the traps, it's just the build quality that is lacking unfortunately. Motoko2025-03-10Verified It absolutely works!!!! It arrived in the afternoon, I set it up and placed peanut butter in the bait compartment. From 6pm to 11pm on the same day I caught 3 mice so far! One of them managed to escape as it only triggered one side of the trap, but it desperately wanted the peanut butter so badly it attempted it again on the other side which then slammed shut. I'm pretty sure I got a family of them but at this rate it'll be cleared out hopefully within a week or two. Highly recommend, the spring loaded doors are highly sensitive so even a little paw would be enough to trigger the closing mechanism. Matt from Oxfordshire2024-12-09Verified Works but mice chewed through after 2 nights Set up and caught 1 on the first night but it had chewed through the switch mechanism so effective no good after one use - shouldn’t the plastic be stronger to be fit for purpose Mr. P. Latham2024-10-23Verified Does the job - build quality could be better I have caught and released (miles away) around 25 mice with these traps. I say these traps, but Ive had to replace them as the door mechanism broke on one.I am still catching mice, I appreciate others are struggling, however in my case, the door mechanism is sensitive enough that it will catch the mouse, it just has to be placed where they are active. Ive had the door close when theyve jumped on top of it, but I have been catching mice.As others have said, the build quality is a bit poor, but I cant fault it for actually catching the mice themselves.
Both traps are effective, but it depends on your preference. Choose the humane trap if you want to release mice without harm. Go for the snap trap if you prefer a quick, lethal solution with no live handling.
We recommend checking the traps daily. For humane traps, frequent checks prevent stress to the mouse. For snap traps, it keeps your space clean and odor-free.
